Howard Atwood Kelly, a renowned doctor and one of the founders of Johns Hopkins Medical College, is well known for his accomplishments in the field of gynecology. His dedication to his religion and the Temperance Movement has also been fairly well documented. What many people do not know is that Dr. Kelly, like his sister Dora Kelly Lewis, was also a suffragist (at least for a time). Join MWHC board member Dr. Amy Rosenkrans to hear about the suffrage work of the Kelly siblings.
The event takes place during the week of the anniversary of the historic Night of Terror at Occoquan, a significant event in suffrage history.
